Project Description

The customer decides

On the basis of reliable information, consumers should be able to act independently and on their own responsibility, as stated in the consumer information law.

What is important to consumers when they buy meat?
We believe that first of all, the consumer would like a perfect piece of meat for a price that they can afford. And they want responsible production in all steps.

We give a quality pledge for each product that leaves our company: apart from taste and appearance, we primarily concentrate on the microbiological and chemical quality of our products. Compliance with the quality standards is controlled: in each process step, – in each of our companies, – and by our partners.

Our own in-house controls and regular checking by independent laboratories ensure maximum safety with regard to the properties and quality of our products.

Chicken meat tastes good and can be cooked in many different ways. It also provides us with numerous important nutrients, which make it particularly valuable for a balanced diet: high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals as well as a favourable fatty acid composition.

Positive nutritional properties of white meat (chicken meat)
proven in studies:
  • Ernährungsbericht der deutschen Gesellschaft für Ernährung e.V., Bonn, 2008: Chapter 7, Prävention durch Ernährung, Zusammenhang zwischen Ernährung und Krebsentstehung, p. 314: “The evidence for a risk-modifying effect of poultry consumption is therefore assessed as being insufficient with regard to all forms of cancer (-).”
  • Study of the American Medical Association, 2009:
Meat Intake and Mortality, A Prospective Study of Over Half a Million People, Arch Intern Med., p. 562ff: “When comparing the highest with the lowest quintile of white meat intake, there was an inverse association for total mortality and cancer mortality, as well as all other deaths for both men and women.”
