Quality assurance during the fattening period

At least twice a day, the farmers breeder tours the housing and checks the health status and well-being of the animals.

Checking the breathing noises

Taking salmonella samples with overshoes

The animals are examined for salmonella 4 times during a fattening period. On the 1st day, 22nd day, before the pre-culling and before the depletion.

All controls, inspections, measures, technical housing data, weights and consumptions are documented on a housing inspection sheet.

Checking the animals’ health

Before the animals can be slaughtered, the veterinary inspection office of the responsible district must examine their health status and fattening reports on the day before the slaughtering and approves the flock for slaughter.
